DAME ANYA HINDMARCH TO DESIGN CLARIDGE’S CHRISTMAS TREE 2026

For the first time, a magical ‘Christmas Treehouse’ will be unveiled in the famous lobby

Claridge’s, London’s legendary Mayfair hotel, announces that this year its much-anticipated annual Christmas tree will be created by long-time friend of the hotel, designer Dame Anya Hindmarch. The tree, which this year for the first time will be reimagined as Claridge’s Christmas Treehouse, will be unveiled by Anya in the iconic lobby on the morning of Wednesday 25th November 2026.

The Claridge’s Christmas Treehouse 2026 will be nestled into the branches of a traditional fir tree, strewn with twinkling lights, with Anya Hindmarch conjuring up a nostalgic world of fairytale adventure, complete with the whimsical touches, playful notes and sprinkling of magic which are signature in everything she creates.

Commenting on the treehouse, Hindmarch said, “Claridge’s has always been special to me. There is something about crossing that marble entrance, that sweeping staircase, those Deco doors. I had my 21st birthday there many moons ago, and for my family, it has always been a place of special celebrations and a place to make memories. So it is a huge honour to be asked to create the Claridge’s Christmas Tree, and to transform it into the Claridge’s Christmas Treehouse… a little festive abode that will take up residence in the famous lobby. I hope it will contribute to more memory making for guests and visitors alike, as Claridge’s has always done for me.”

Claridge’s Managing Director, Thomas Kochs, said, “It is a joy to see two such utterly British names come together, at this most magical time of year.  It is an honour to collaborate with our friend Anya Hindmarch, a true creative powerhouse, for this special moment in the Claridge’s calendar, and we look forward to seeing how she brings her inimitable style and sense of playfulness to the hotel. In fact, there is more to come with this special union, and we can’t wait to reveal all next year…”

The Claridge’s Christmas Tree has long been a seasonal London landmark and symbolises the start of the festive season in the capital. This is the sixteenth year that Claridge’s has asked one of its distinguished guests to design its tree in their own distinctive style.  Hindmarch follow in the footsteps of design legends such as Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Sir Paul Smith and Diane von Furstenberg.
