1954 Vintage

A classic Australian claret, although more akin to a very well aged Bordeaux. Ruby in colour with slight brett on the nose, but more charming than offensive. Camphor, then opening to intense primary tobacco and cigar box characteristics on both the nose and palette. Surprisingly good finish for such a relic, confirming the longevity of the early Wynns. (98 points 14/11/07).
