Gold in colour and initially quite funky on the nose raising more than a few eyebrows, before blowing off in the glass to reveal light kerosene and then evolving lemon spectrum characteristics. Finishing bone dry, the palate and finish belie the 10% alcohol, but it does emphasise the fundamental value of a strong vintage to both longevity and fruit weight (Ullage: 1cm 93 points 17/1/13).
