1967 Vintage

Gold in colour with the noticeably high residual sugar slightly over tipping the overall balance of the wine. Also, perhaps a touch of V.A present, however the developed aged characteristic of crème brulee on the palette was certainly pleasant enough not to be too overcritical of the Penfolds prevailing experimental approach to Sauternes at that time (29/2/08 86 points).
