Quite mature in colour with a light but persistent mousse. Caramelised toffee apple evolving to toasty sourdough then amaretto on the nose. Surprisingly zesty and crisp on the palette before eventually displaying smoky and creamy characteristics. Finishing dry and short in length, it is perhaps not as balanced as the 73 but still providing enough interest for those prepared to gamble on non Oenotheque back vintages (93 points 29/2/08).
