Red brick with classically, yet elegant, tobacco and cigar box on the nose. Significantly more earthy, smokey, luscious, rich and opulent on the palette before evolving to a bouquet of violets. Short to medium, dry finish suggesting a shorter drinking window than expected for this vintage (92 points 11/4/08).
