Pomerol is known for its elegant and balanced wines and this is no exception. Slightly browning on the edges, initial smoky cigar box characters give way to a more fragrant element before settling into varying degrees of the dark berry spectrum. Quite spicy on the palate, with good fruit weight providing a medium to long finish, but don’t linger if you have a bottle cellared as it has just passed its plateau (92 points 7/5/11).
