Quintessential Bordeaux nose, although quite tight despite decanting 30 minutes earlier. Aroma of cedar, blackcurrants & cassis whilst noticeably smokey on the palette, slowly opening to tobacco and cigar box. Very dark in colour with still 15-20 ahead of it (91 points 28/10/2009).
